ATS was founded by Harold Anderson during a time when the trucking industry was heavily regulated.
Business expanded after ATS obtained our machinery and equipment authority. We also signed four Independent Contractor Drivers, adding to the fleet that began with two Drivers.
ATS revenues exceeded $1 million.
Rollie Anderson returned from the Air Force to join ATS and help run his father’s business.
Gross revenues exceeded $100 million. ATS also expanded into the brokerage business by introducing Sureway, which provided customers more freight capacity.
Sureway developed an agent-based program to expand its service offering. Sureway still has an agent that signed up in 1996.
ATS and Sureway worked with McLeod Software to develop what is currently PowerBroker and Agent Access. This has become a leading brokerage TMS program.
Additional focus is put on developing the agent program and the technology behind it.
SaferWatch software is integrated, allowing agents to onboard carriers without corporate being involved.
Auto-Tender is introduced to Agent Access, allowing carriers to cover loads without the agent being involved.
